About the Genealogy Study Group

This class was started in 2011 by Diane George, who lived in Castro Valley and was passionate about genealogy. Upon Diane's passing in May 2018, Wayne Ainsworth, also a member of the Friends of Castro Valley Library, agreed to continue the class. Meetings were discontinued after the Pandemic in February, 2020 and resumed, October, 2023.
